I moved to St. Simons island in 1989. I moved here from a small town in the western suburbs of Philadelphia, Wayne. Having lived all my life in this area I was just overjoyed to know I would be near the ocean and in a small town atmosphere of St. Simons Island GA. My husband and I had visited this area on three occasions and decided it was for us.
Just backtracking a bit, I was first licensed in Real Estate in 1976. As a young mother of three, I was looking for a way to make myself useful and have a link to the adult world. My husband was already in the business and looking to do more with the development and building of homes in the area.
A lot has changed in Real Estate and the world since that time—the thing that has not changed with me is the desire to help people find what they need and what they are looking for in a home. I still get a thrill when I see their eyes light up and I know we have found it. It, being the answer to their dream.
I enjoy showing off the island and all that it has to offer. I love relating the stories of how we, my clients and I, find the perfect fit in a home. Sometimes by accident and sometimes by design. It is really a team effort. I have just as much fun with the seasoned buyers and sellers as I do with the first time buyers. Both usually end up as lifelong friends.
